SIMPLE MASHED PEAS

ALIEN-COLOR PEAS MASH

Let’s bring in some variety into your meals. Why not this time chose as a side dish a simple, colourful and yummy peas mash. It will add new color to your meals, great energy boost from the carbs and variety into your meals. Remember Not Boring, Not Tasteless, Definitely Not A Diet. So the next time you cook your meals for your work week bring the peas on!!!

Ingredients

  • A can peas or a cup of frozen peas (I prefer the frozen version)
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil

Prep Instructions

  1. Place peas into a blender.
  2. Add olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix all well in a blender until silk smooth. Serve hot or cold as a dip.

Green peas are loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory nutrients.

Frozen peas are better able to retain their color, texture, and flavor than canned peas. Always try to buy ”low sodium” or “reduced sodium” pease. I am also encourageing you to consider fresh peas whenever possible.
