Braised Spicy Chicken

BRAISED SPICY CHICKEN

One of the principles of sustainable healthy lifestyle for me is consistent food preparation. When it comes to a meal composition I always include protein in each of my meals. I focus on lean proteins and chicken breast is such a piece. This recipe shows how I prepare my chicken for more than oneĀ  meal. You can use it with your favorite side, add to a salad or cut into thin pieces to include in your sandwich. Let’s get rolling Foodies!

Ingredients

  • 5 chicken breasts (farm raised if possible)
  • Turmeric powder
  • Spicy chili pepper flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Red paprika powder
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Prep Instructions

  1. Clean the breasts under cold water and dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub all the spices and cook on low heat in a pan with a lid on for 30 minutes.
  3. Store in a fridge in a tight glass container.
