FLUFFY JASMINE RICE

FLUFFY TURMERIC JASMINE RICE

Non-sticky, fluffy, Jasmine rice recipe. 10 minutes is all you need. Let’s get rolling Foodies!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 pinch of turmeric powder
  • 3 crushed cardamon seeds

Prep Instructions

  1. Wash the rice under cold water to rid of starch and any dust.
  2. In a medium size pot bring 2 cups of water to boil.
  3. Place the rice in the boiling water, add turmeric powder and cardamon. Mix all well.
  4. Lower the heat to low and mix again. Cover with a lid and keep boiling with the lid on for 7 minutes.
  5. After 5 minutes uncover the lid and mix well to make sure the remaining water is well mixed with the rice.
  6. Turn off the heat but leave the pot on and cover with the lid.
  7. Check in 2-3 minutes and if the remaining water has been absorbed by the rice mix it well and place the cooked rice on a plate so that the heat can be released.
  8. Don’t cook longer than 10 minutes all together to avoid sticky and overcooked rice.
