This meal is a very close cousin of this recipe. I prepared it during the same meal preparation session to bring in a little bit of variety by using different vegetable which in this case was young green cabbage. Let’s get rolling Foodies!
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts, cubed
1 bacon slice, chopped into stripes
1/2 cup chopped celery stalks
1 young green cabbage, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Fresh thyme, finely chopped
1 teaspoon olive oil
Prep Instructions
Heat up the oil in a medium size skillet.
Add bacon a saute for 2-3 minutes. Throw in the chopped cabbage and celery and continue with sauteing all for the next 5 minutes.
Add thyme and garlic, mix well and saute for 3 minutes.
Place all on a separate plate and add the chicken cubes onto the same skillet and cook until slightly browned – around 10 minutes.
Add the sauteed vegetables and mix with the chicken.
