Salad in a glass story
Ingredients
A bowl of raw spinach leaves (washed)
2 apples, seeded with skin (washed)
2 carrots, peeled (washed)
4 dates, seeded
4-5 slices fresh ginger with skin
2 teaspoons ground flaxseeds
2 teaspoons lemon flavour fish oil
2 cups green tea or water
Prep Instructions
Throw all ingredients into a blender and give it a nice spin.
Now this is important tip. Do not limit yourself with the ingredients in this recipe. You can make as many different smoothies as you want based on what you have at home. Remember we need some fruit (fresh or frozen), good fat (lemon infused fish oil is amazing choice), deep green colour veggies (read spinach or kale) and liquid base (green tea or plain water). You can also add some ice cubes if you like it cold and refreshing. I also add some complete protein, usually a vegetarian mix of complete protein powder. But that is optional.
