One Is Not Enough Most Tender Coquelets

I recently switched from the traditional chicken breast to a whole chicken but not really a chicken but the French style coquelet (Spring Chicken). And you know what? I am loving it! I am literally fighting with my wife over who gets more. Check this recipe. It will produce the most tender and really easy to prepare chicken taste you can.

Let’s get frying Foodies!


  • 2 couqelets (Spring Chickens)
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced or chopped
  • Red paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Red chili flakes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Prep Instructions

  1. In a bigger pot heat up the oil.
  2. On a plate season your spring chickens with salt, red paprika, chili flakes.
  3. Add chopped garlic into warmed oil and give it a stir. Fry the garlic mixing frequently, not longer than 2-3 minutes and make sure you do not burn it.
  4. Add the chickens with breasts side up.
  5. Cover with a lid, lower temperature to low and cook without removing the lid for 45 minutes.
  6. Serve with your favorite side dish or pick some of the many recipes here.
