Pancetta Wrapped Cod With Spicy Tomato Sauce

For a long time I could not imagine combing lean and meaty cod fillet with any other type of meat. Well not until yesterday when I experimented with adding a bit of panchetta (Italian bacon made of pork belly meat that is salt cured and spiced with black pepper, often consumed raw). And strictly speaking I wrapped my cod fillets with this tasty Italian produce. And it worked big time. Let’s get fusing Foodies!


  • 350 grams cod fillets
  • 100 grams Italian pancetta (or bacon if you cannot get pancetta)
  • Red ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Prep Instructions

  1. Spray a bigger non stick skillet with olive oil and heat up.
  2. Place wrapped cod fillets and fry on higher heat for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 25 minutes.
  4. Serve with spicy peppers sauce. Recipe available here
