SMOOTH HOME MADE GUACAMOLE

VELVET SMOOTH HOME MADE GUACAMOLE

I love fat!!! Yes I do, I do, I do. But this is the good fat. If you ever have a piece of dry lean protein to swallow, use this guacamole recipe to alleviate the pain. You can basically put this spread on anything and make it taste like heaven. Let’s get fatting Foodies!

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly chopped
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt

Prep Instructions

  1. Remove the skin from avocados. Remove the seed but do not throw it away. We will still use it later when guacamole is ready.
  2. Place avocado in a medium size bowl, add thinly chopped onion, pinch of salt and cayenne pepper.
  3. Squash it well with a fork into a smooth consistent paste. Optionally you can also add thinly chopped ripe tomato.
  4. Add the lemon juice.
  5. Storing tip: add the avocado seeds and cover guacamole with a foil to isolate from any air and store in an air-tight container in a fridge. It tastes best when fresh. Once the air gets to it, guacamole will start to darken as it will slowly start the oxidation process.
