It is never a bad idea to take with you to the office a portable snack. For me this works best when the schedule is so tight it is hard to leave the room from yet another presentation. Making your own snack ahead another busy week pays huge dividends. You simply need a few ingredients and combine them all into one small jar. And of course take it with you. That way you won’t need candy vending machine again. Let’s get rolling Foodies!

Ingredients

  • Handful of macademia nuts (or walnuts)
  • 2-3 dates
  • Fresh carrots, chopped
  • Fresh celery stalks, chopped
  • Smoked turkey sausage, sliced

Prep Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and pack in small mason jars or any type of lunch box you use and you are all set.

A practical tip to always have a healthy snack. Make sure you have ingredients to have the mix ready in no time. Having a small snack will definitely help you to avoid getting into hunger zone which as we all know well ends up overeating during lunch time. I know this well from my personal experience. And these busy days always come when you are expecting them the least.

Try to include 3-1 ratio of veggies to smoke sausage and nuts as these are simply more caloric.
