WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO PARTICIPATE IN WORKWEEKFOODIE LIFETIME TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM?

I felt very unhealthy! I was lacking energy and I had no idea what to do with it. The food I was eating was making me feel sleepy despite all the exercise I did at that time. Of course I had gained extra few kilos of weight which I dreamed I would get rid of. Initially I was skeptical as I tried many different diets and though some worked in the short time it always ended up with gaining more weight and frustration.

I have been following Arek for around a year before I approached him with the idea of taking part in his program. I talked to people who worked with Arek before me and I must say their results were simply amazing. I wanted to finally try it out myself. We sat down for a coffee one sunny afternoon and decided that the program will be divided into 3 parts: food, movement and coaching process.

WHAT DID YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT THE PROGRAM?

I really liked the fact that it was a truly comprehensive program. I didn’t know how to cook and what to cook in the first place. WorkWeekFoodie was and continues to be a huge inspiration. Arek is always available to share his experience, provide support and most of all it was him to get me started on the healthy life style bandwagon. I was exercising before on my own spending hours in the gym. Believe it or not, all you need in 20 minutes at home, not even everyday. Arek opened up my mind and provided solutions both in the kitchen and exercise area that were suited to my life style. I loved the very individual approach throughout the whole process.

WHAT WAS THE EASIEST PART OF THE PROGRAM?

The easiest part was having all the know-how presented in a structure way. When you want to change your habits it is not only doing but knowing first. And I received all the knowledge and later support and accountability from Arek while I hit the road of my personal change.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST PART OF THE PROGRAM??

The very first workout. I thought I would never make it. Nowadays I  wake up everyday at 7 a.m. and I exercise for 20 minutes. It became a habit like brushing teeth. It was hard initially but very rewarding in the longer run. But what was most important during the whole program was the support. I was asking myself: ‘What’s next?’ What will happen when I am on my own. And that’s the point. Once you start the program you will not be left alone and solely on your own.  Even after the program has ended and I achieved my goals, Arek remained available whenever I hit a bump in the road and reached out for advice.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TAKEAWAY FOR YOU?

Having your own food in the office cut  me off a bit from the social life in the corporate world. Especially during the lunch time when everyone was going out for lunch. That may have been an issue for the first week of the program. But after a while I realized it was good for me, my body and my health. I wanted to recapture the control over my body after years of neglecting it.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TAKEAWAY FOR YOU?

When I started the program I never expected to eat normal and most importantly tasty food. I was never hungry and never experienced the sugar crush effect which I knew very well from my past dieting experiences. I implemented a sustainable and consistent workout routine in my busy life style. I did require some work, motivation and discipline. And although I felt I was hitting the wall Arek was always out there in the role of a support and accountability partner. That played a huge role for me. He motivated me big time. Then the results came. During the first 2 months I felt like a new person. Not to mention all the compliments I was getting from everybody around me. He is an amazing guy with a knowledge he is willing to share. All you need is an open mind and willingness to make the change happen. Highly recommend to everyone out there struggling and not knowing what and how to start out.
